Luis Abrantes

I was born in S. Miguel island, in the Azores archipelago in Portugal and started playing the classical guitar at the age of 10. I subsequently continued my studies and completed a Master's Degree as a classical guitar teacher.

During my time in university, I started also playing early plucked instruments like the renaissance and baroque lutes and later the theorbo and baroque guitar as well. Eventually I also enrolled on a degree in those instruments in ESMAE in Porto.

I slowly decided to start sharing videos of myself playing, many times arrangements that I made of my favourite pieces written for other instruments. Since I got a fair amount of requests for those arrangements and even for lessons, I decided to create this website to facilitate that.
